Parents’
start buying or collecting baby dresses from
the time they come to know that there is a new arrival in the family. Earlier, this
used to be the responsibility of grandparents who would search in the market
for different types of clothes and matching ribbons, satin etc. But now parents
want to be an active participant. Today the market is flooded with variety of
baby dresses. These dresses have all the accessories required for the little
prince /princess – be it the matching hair band, thegloves, stockings,
neck-tie.Parents’ indulge in all the paraphernalia required to buy or make a baby
dress so that their little darling
looks best.The
general notion is that most people think it is very easy to pick a dress for
the boys as there is less variation in the clothes of boys. For example
whenever people go to buy a dress for boysthey instantly choose the colour blue. There is a tendency to purchase
only stereotyped clothes like pant/shorts or shirt/ t shirt andkurta and
pyjamas for older kids. But there is paradigm shift in the clothing of boys.
Boys also

parents. They wish to dress just like their parents and parents on their part
are filled with a sense of utmost satisfaction.Boys imitate their fathers’
style of dressing while the girls their mothers’. Parents also like to indulge
and take utmost pleasure in fulfilling their kids’ desire. Companies take this
