Dior wants to be connected with the past ,hence recently he held a fashion show in Shanghai keeping sixties as theme base.It was a pomp and luxury show. CEO of Dior,Sidney Toledano,LVMH chairman Bernard were graced the function along with other reknowned personalities. The guests were nearly 500. Desugner John Galliano said he wanted to recapture that excitement happening at that time in Paris,which is very similar to what is happening in Shanghai today.

The grand show started with flash lights and dance music mixed with live accompaniment by Shanghai Sinfonietta. It was a feast for fashion lovers. Colors,cut and fit were the center of attraction. Roses were flaunted everywhere as that was the house theme,from prints on shift coats to choker necklaces and handbags.The show was a two day extravaganza. It was very clear that Dior ismuch farsighted than anybody in fashion field!

Christian Dior-a name in fragrance

Christian Dior was born in France. 1905-1957was his golden time. Because of parents wish,he joined the college and studied political science then joined military services.In his mind he was heading towards fashion designing!At last the fashion field won!In 1935,he came to Paris and was completely devoted to fashion designing.Initially he designed the hats beautifully.Hats became more famous than his apparels.In 1946,he was able to open his own establishment in Paris.He had his collection in 1947 with the 'new look.'It shot to fame like mercury.Dior became the last emperor of 50' producing H-lines and Y- lines along with classic suits.He tried his skill in furs,socks,ties,perfumes,and clothing.He had gained name and fame by this time.

In 1957 after tyhe death of Dior,Saint Laurent became the head to carry on the empire.From 1996,after much talk about his successors,John Galliano has become the chief of dior Fashion designing.Galliano is equally efficient in creating feminine look,high fashion and exotic style!

Galliano is a blend of feminie look and expression of freedom with reminiscence of pst opulence.

Balanced Food

Obesity is the gift of sedentary life style. We don't believe the diet charts!But gradually we are paying also very high price for the health! Make four parts in your veg food.1) Whole grains2) Fresh vegetables and fruits3)Dairy products cheese,butter,paneer etc4) baked things like bread,biscuits.
Fruits and vegetables
Fresh, frozen, juiced, tinned or dried fruit and vegetables are particularly good sources of vitamins, minerals and fibre.
High protein foods
Include a variety of pulses (for example beans, lentils, peas and chick peas), nuts, seeds, eggs, soya, mycoprotein (Quorn) or wheat proteins to give you plenty of protein, minerals and vitamins.

Good sources of calcium, protein and some vitamins. If you are avoiding dairy foods, choose fortified soya, rice or oat drinks or make sure that you eat other foods that are high in calcium.

Food and Fashion

Many of them fear that veg food will not supply enough
vitamins and minerals needed for our body. This is not true, If you are having
well balanced food consisting whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, then you
are eating healthiest food on the earth.
Protein in take
We get plenty of protein in vegetarian food. Men need 55 grams and women
need 45 grams. Tofu ,lentils, nuts, seeds and brown rice are the high source of protein.
Calcium
Calcium is needed in much quantity
for the kids as they exercise a lot. So bones have to be very strong. There are
many things rich in calcium like spinach, seeds, almonds, carrots and soy milk.
When you drink soy milk you need to stir it nicely, because calcium gets
settled down to the bottom.
Iron
A recent statistics shows the iron level in veg was higher than those of non
vegetarians! It shows clearly that vegetarian food also is rich in vitamins and
minerals. For enhancing the iron quantity in your body you need to eat lentils,
spinach, soy and chickpeas.
Usually both veg and non veg people have got enough supplement of B12.
Things to know
Our body is wonderful machine. It has the facility of
storing B12 for years.
Nutritional yeast is a great source and very tasty also.
If you are a heavy smoker you need extra supply of B12.
Pregnant women need extra B12.So they need to take
regularly. Remember eating healthy vegetarian food is the only way to long term
or short term health. As a vegetarian you are on the lower side of cholesterol,
heart diseases and high blood pressure. Cooking may be difficult but the result
is just wonderful!

Versace enjoyed travelling throught his life . His travelling experiencs were expressed through his designs in fashion.The uncrowned prince of fashion design was shot dead in 1997in front of his mansion in Miami, Florida.

Now Gianni's sister Donatella Versace has become the new head of design. Donatella was already following her brother's foot steps.With this tragedy she got a ready platform.

Donatella's eleven year old daughter Allegra is the heiress of fashion empire.Donatell's son Daniel inherits Gianni's collection of paintings.Hats off to such great passinate lover of fashion designer!

DONNA KARAN

Donna Karan is well known as ‘Queen of Draping’ by fashion conscious people. Her designs are all real women centric to look more stylish.

Karan seeks perfection in imperfect things flaunting womanly curves. Her designs are favorite of all ages and sizes she is adored mostly by matured women who are comfort centric customers.

Donna Karan
Donna was born in New York .Her parents were connected to clothing industry. Father used to make suits while mother used to be a showroom model. Donna Karan created her own label as DKNY meaning Donna Karan New York!

Calvin Klein

Calvin Klein was born on 19 November 1942 in New York, USA. He is a second fiddle to none in the fashion industry.He had a burning passion for fashion designing right from his younger days.He studies fshion design atManhattan's Fashion Institute of Technology.
Klein despertely wanted to have his own establishment.So he started a company 1968in partnering with Barry Schwartz a close friend for a longer time.He thought unless he owns a company there is no freedom of thought!Instantly introduced hid ideas on designs.
Bonwit Teller,visited his store. Impressed by his fashion ideas,he bought $50,000 worth of merchandise for the store.This was a step towards success!Glossy magazines started showcasing his creations on the cover page.The he introduced his jeans a classic trademark jeans till today!This became instant hit!Their cut and controvercial advertisement having Brooke Shields were selling like hot cakes.Every week he sold much more than what he had expected.
In the nineties the CK label was launched by Calvin.That was for the middle market client,again this also became a hit.
Some how Calvin was caught in the advertisement controversy and he was forced to withdraw his ads.
When we see today every one longing for Calvin Klein,I remember this sentence'Fire in the belly keeps you full of life.'
