Donna was born in New York .Her parents were connected to clothing industry. Father used to make suits while mother used to be a showroom model. Donna knew how to design her destiny in the fashion world. She clubbed herself with Anna Klein and gradually became her successor in 1974. Donna Karan created her own label as DKNY meaning Donna Karan New York!
She rose to the fame because of her creation ‘Seven Easy Pieces’ Donna created dresses for the women from day to night and weekday to weekend. After having name fame and wealth, now she is having little time for her to pursue charity work.

Karan firmly believes that clothes should be stylish as well as comfortable. Further she says , “Clothes don’t matter. Feeling good and feeling confident is what matters (most)”
